Etna Top is a proposal aimed at those who want to reach the summit of Mount Etna, in conditions of maximum safety, accompanied by a Nature Guide and a Volcanological Guide.
- What does the service include?
Departure is from the village of Milo, or from a place to be agreed upon, in a comfortable 9-seater minibus authorised to transport passengers, to the Etna Nord ski resort. From the ski resort of Piano Provenzana, with the aid of efficient 4x4 vehicles, you will reach the Volcanology Observatory located at 2900 metres.
Accompanied by your Volcanology Guide and assisted by your Nature Guide, you will walk to the top of the central crater at 3200 m, and from there you can admire the other 3 main eruptive apparatuses. You will return to the Volcanology Observatory and possibly to Piano Provenzana in the early afternoon. The duration of the trek is approximately 5/6 hours picnic included.
At the end of the excursion, there will be a transfer by comfortable minibus from Piano Provenzana to the agreed location.
On the way back, depending on safety conditions, it will be possible to visit a volcanic cave with your Nature Guide.

It is necessary to have good walking shoes with you. An anorak, fleece, gloves, a heavy hat, trekking poles, a rucksack, a 1.5 litre water bottle, picnic in tow.
Level: High. For hikers well prepared for trekking.
