The Girasì Trail

Updated: Feb 9

The Girasì Trail begins near the Dinnammare Sanctuary, located 1100 metres above sea level, above the city of Messina.

Just below the church is the military road that runs along the ridge of the Peloritani Mountains from north to south for 40 km. Our trail follows a section of the military road built by the Alpine troops and part of the Girasì trail.

The landscape will slowly change, showing us first sublime views of the Strait of Messina and then the green valleys of the northern Peloritani and the splendid views of the Milazzese coast and the Aeolian Islands.

"At the end of a day spent in nature we will definitely be better off".
